I am thinking about upgrading my TB on my stock TJ and was wondering what would be the best size. 62mm? What height of the spacer? Where do you also get the gaskets for the bigger TB? Do you put a new gasket under the spacer also?
I also ordered a more aggressive cam from a friend. Will tell you the specs when I get it.
Should I change something along with the cam, or just pop it in?
Best reg.

i can't tell you what's the best t/b and spacer combination but this is what i did http://4bangerjp.com/forums/index.php/topic,10329.0.html
regarding the cam:
when installing a new cam you need to install new lifters and pushrods, they are dirt cheap so that's not a big deal. Preferably you'd replace the rockers and bridges as well since they wore out and get fatigued (and bend so much that you get 1.5 ratio instead of 1.6, don't think they are that much even new but I tested them used and they are down to 1.5).
depending on what cam it is you might need valve springs (and possibly retainers and locks or whatever they're called)

How thick is the spacer?
You dont happen to make those spacers for sale?
When I will know the specs of the cams I will let you know and we will work from there. :D
I will start with the TB, spacer and some electrical fan on the Jeep

spacer was 1'' thick and it's about 7/8'' with the machining for the centering lip and o-ring
not making them for sale, Bounty Hunter makes the regular ones (check in vendors section) along wih 62mm t/b

The 62mm throttle body is a pretty standard upgrade, you can't go much larger. The stock TB gasket is already large enough for the 62mm TB and makes a good template to mark the intake manifold opening for opening it up for the larger TB. I include an extra gasket and longer bolts with my 1" 62mm spacers.
Consider an injector upgrade as well.
I installed new valve springs when I put my cam in, they were required due to the extra lift of the cam. I can probably get you the Mopar part numbers. Good time for a timing chain replacement since you're right there anyway, I believe the double-roller for the 4.0L will fit.

How much did the cam help boost power?

Would I need a gasket between the tb and the spacer or just the spacer and the manifold?
Where can I get those caskets?

he includes one with the t/b and spacer, i'm sure he can sell you an extra one if you need 2

Hard to say how much the cam improved power as there's so many other mods done around the same time, both the alter the power of the Jeep and the overall weight. For me, it was more of a benefit to compliment all the other mods.
I include 1 gasket with the spacer. You need a gasket above and below the spacer and the factory gasket can generally be reused. I can include an extra gasket when requested, although they're only a couple dollars at most parts stores.
