Title: Got her fire up today. :) But gettin some codes
Post by: Complete Loser on March 25, 2010, 10:43:31 AM
Well, i put on a pacesetter header, a tb spacer, and a 4.0 throttle body. Along with a 130a alt. She runs, but doesnt start or run as good as i would have hoped.
The idle is very smooth and at about 900rpm.

I bought a new TPS for my 2.5 tb and went ahead and put it in this 4.0 tb. Now i am getting a tps code (24). Just wondering if i need to go back to the original 4.0 tb sensor?

The other codes are
12 and 33

I was going to swap the IAC. I pulled them both off, and they both looked a good bit different internally. The 'plunger' part of them looked bigger on the 4.0. ?  So i left them on their respective throttle bodies.

you need the 2.5L IAC valve and housing on the 4.0 t/b - the 4.0 require a lot more air at idle than the 2.5 that's why they are different.
