Tread Lightly? Guess not
« on: May 23, 2012, 07:10:15 AM »
I guess this would be why my state is so anti-4x4. Guys like this tearing up trails and giving the responsible enthusiasts a bad name. Shame.

Is that some ORV park?  I see a bike and an ATV waiting then bypassing this Jeeps.

That whole club is sketchy.  Kinds reminds me of the trucks in Hawaii.  Lots of money tied into them but tehy're all built for looks only.  No locker & no lower gears.  Funny thing I was told, Hawaii's 4WPW sells more swampers then any other store.  Every truck seems to be running them on the road.

From what jfrabat has said, no one runs lockers out there either.  Everyone seems to want to build up a mini monster truck though.  I'm glad that in most areas that fad died off back in the 90's.  It's all about the minimalist rock buggies which are the polar opposite of these guy's.  They might as well be in a stock Jeep for all the good all those mods seem to be doing him.  2 lockers and 31" swampers couldn't do any worse.

All he ended up doing was tear trenches into that mud and basically made it worse for the next wheeler. Get enough of those kind of folks and they turn good trails into total garbage which ends up getting them shut down. Damage for no reason.
