« on: March 13, 2012, 08:00:41 AM »
every couple of months i need to take my tbi off, clean the oil off everything, clean the hose from the silencer box, and clean the hose from the valve cover? is this normal jeep maintenance? my jeep is now my daily driver , so i have to make sure it's running perfect. btw, it's all stock.

This is not normal.  Try cleaning the CCV system, it may be clogged at the brass fitting at the valve cover.

Are you cleaning the one from the valve cover to the manifold?

There is another thread right now about a catch can. If nothing else works, that may be the solution for you.

Make sure you run a wire or drillbit through the small CCV fitting that the plastic line connects to.  I've had mine clogged.

Glad this topic came up.  I'm putting on the catch can.  But would like to make sure my CCV is working.  Never did pull the fitting off so I'm sure its plugged.
