Those fittings are pretty exposed.  

I think I would have added a heat exchanger and a pump on the input side so it can be filled an the trail.  The bumper could also be used as an air tank if both ends are capped off...

not a bad idea. might even help keep the bumper from denting when you test the departure angle.

I actually was looking for a way to do this in my Jeep, but never got around to it.  I do carry a 12V water pump and hose, and I made a small arrangement that I can throw on any pond to clean off my radiator, but it's not a permanent install.  I did think bout using the rear bumper, but with mine being metal (aftermarket), I was a bit afraid it would end up rusting.

i can see the point of doing that if you can carry lots of water, pretty neat otherwise, i like his plate with the pressure gauge and air fitting, pretty cool.

Do you think the plastic, or maybe the pump, releases something toxic?  Some iodine, chlorine, or colloidal silver would take care of any other dangers.

The tank can't be that clean.  I'd want to seal it to make sure it doesn't rust on the inside.  Mold or mildew would also be an issue but easier to clean.  BPA's are the least of your worries.  I think he's using the water to wash off stuff after going to the beach or fire trail.

Also the fill hole looks like it would allow dirt and other stuff to fall in when filling if you're not using a hose.  You'd probably want something more then a rubber bung also.
