i have just got a 96 2 door xj and its a 4 cyl.  i want to know how i can get more horsepower out of my engine. i know a few things like a k&n air filter and flowmaster exhaust with some headers.  this vehicle is daily driven and i plan to put a 3.5 inch susp. lift. with some 31 inch tires.  so if yall could let me know what to do id appreciate it  thanks

ur plans are the same as mine for the lift 3.5 and 31's.  you could put a 4.0 throttle body on your jeep, along with a tbs.  You can add an electric fan.  Put an inertia ring on it. Sadly there really aren't many ways to improve upon our little four bangers hp.

Not sure what all jeeps this pretains to.. But On my 94 YJ, there is a reducer in the neck of the airfileter hose, that really holds the flow down.. I read an artice about this, and I took mine out, and it seems to run better .. Little more pep..  May look into that..
