The grand Cherokee and wrangler aren't too big for European roads. Keep in mind the RR and LRs are sold in Europe as well. The XJ was beloved in Europe and the Grand Cherokee is a favorite as well and not as uncommon as you would think.

For many B roads and even town streets, they are big.  The Range Rovers are big as well.  Italy, Spain, France, China, Japan,, etc... all favor smaller cars.  Which is why they have downsized a bit with the LR4.  The whole industry is going smaller.

I like it.  I'd drive it if it was affordable.  So the engine is Fiat based?  What about the AWD/4WD system?
My daughter is driving a 2001 Honda CR-V and it is a wonderful vehicle.  The local Jeep/Chrysler dealer indicates that the new Cherokee is supposed to compete with the CR-V, but I think the Renegade would be even more appealing to people.  Seems like the Renegade will cut into the Cherokee's sales to me.

Let's hope they sell a lot of them so Jeep survives and the Wrangler continues to be built.
