FIFA World Cup Final
« on: July 16, 2014, 02:43:54 PM »
Well, I know this is not a big issue for you Americans, but I just had the most AMAZING opportunity to be in the final game of the World Cup.  And not only that,  but since I was invited by Sony (official partner), it was an all out event, starting with a private dinner with the entertainment coming from non other than Claudia Leitte and Carlos Santana.  I cannot describe the experience!  It was just mind blowing!  And the game was a darn good one to boot!  The only thing this would have been better was if Argentina would have won instead of Germany!

Actually, the World Cup had a lot of coverage in the US and there were a lot of public viewing parties in the cities and they were usually packed.

I also watched it.  My Brazilian friends were happy that Argentina lost!

ALL of Brazil was happy that they lost.  Having Argentina win in Brazil would have been even more insulting than loosing 7-1 to Germany!

I wanted Argentina to win.
US played very well this time around. Glad Brazil got stomped, although the loss to Germany was excessive.

To me they (Argentina) were way too cautious and probably why they lost in the end, but the germans looked more dangerous to be honest . Only problem I have with the ref was that the German keeper went with his knee up on that ball at the edge of the box, I would have at least pull the yellow on him, my opinion anyway, but it would have not made any difference in the end I think.

I wish someone scored early so it was a more open game, but I'm grateful it was not another penalty kicks ending.

I am actually glad that it went to overtime...  More game for me to see!
