Never knew this was a thing.  People are making replica Jurassic Park YJ's.

I stumbled across the Jurassic park replicas a few years ago (probably more like 8 years now) kinda cool. Was fun to watch Jurassic park after that and notice most of the custom vehicles (tube looking expedition vehicles) in the series are actually YJ's (can still see the dashes if look closely).

In both Jurassic Park and Lost World, they used YJ's.  The ones in Lost World were a part of inGen and has custom bodies on clearly YJ frames.  When the movies were out, you could see the actual prop's at Universal Studio's.  I'm not sure if they still have them out but because they have the rides they probably have something.  When I was last at Universal Studio's they have the Mercedes ML320's.

I've seen a couple replicas over the years but not an active club.  Of the few I've seen not all are the right year.  Sand Beige was a one-off paint for 1992.  It was a low-gloss metallic as well.  The other one-off was Sage Green.  it was supposed to be a MaCarthur/ Patton sort of thing.  Low-gloss paint is a PITA to keep nice since it's almost dusted on so you can't polish or wax it.  A '93-95 isn't nearly as easy to spot as a pre-92.  It always bugs me when someone makes a replica and uses the wrong year.  Like the General Lee.  I've seen it done as a '70 Charger which doesn't look like a '69.  Though Lee1 was actually a '68 turned into a '69.  I've also seen Ecto1's done as some weird stuff as well.  There's a movie car club somewhere in LA though.  They have the Ecto1 that was built to promote the video game and they seem to always bring it to the San Diego Comic Con every year.

BTW: that Explorer is also the wrong year.  The one that show glimpses of is a second gen.
