Any one ever hear of a swap out a 3 speed yj auto trans, with a 4 speed tj auto trans.  I kno that the tj is computer conrolled but i wondered if its possible b/c my buddy has a tj trans sitting in his backyard.  Any ideas? i'd a ppreciate any ideas.

The problem will be the engine bellhousing bolt pattern.  You have a 2.5L with a 60* GM bellhousing bolt pattern.  If it's from a TJ, I believe it will be a 42RH.  They were used with the 4.0L and 2.4L but not the 2.5L, if I remember right.  I know Spence would know but he's MIA.

Jeffy's right...and besided the old tried and true 3cog 727 deriviative behind the 2.5 is a much better unit imvho!
