Anyone know the difference between the 297x and the 760x  U-Joints? Can't seem to find a set of 297x's. I've been told that the 760x is the replacement, but why?

Not totally sure about this but I think the 760x are the same size, but just a better, stronger design from Spicer.

Yes, the 5-760x is the stronger replacement ofr the 5-297x.  I believe they still sell the 5-297x though.  The reason for the 5.760x was to beaf up the D44 U-joint.  Remember that most D30's use 5-297x's now.

I hope they're not so much better that they end up not being the weak link. I am told that spicer has phased out the 297, I can't find them anywhere. I guess I'll be getting the 760's.
