I have had the 2.5 in a 94 YJ and got 21 MPG in stock condition. My Sports never got better than 16-17 MPG. MY new 2.4 on it's first tank got 24.9 MPG. This is a combination of highway and mountain road driving. Soft top up.

On 33's with 4:11 stock gears, inertia ring on the flywheel, 4.0TB TB spacer, electric fan, stock exhaust.
I get about 12-14mpg. But I have a lot more power out of my mods and don't have to floor it all that often.
Oh I have over 200k on mine as well.
