1" BL+ 1"MML= - Xfer case drop?
« on: November 09, 2006, 08:29:52 PM »
I am in the process of looking at another round of mods. one of the things i want to do it replace my stock MM, while i am in there i figure i might as well get the 1" lift motor mounts. I also am probably going to be installing a 1" BL, i know i have to do this to get the 1"MML. so my question is if i install the 1" BL and 1"MML can i get rid of my xfer case drop?
thanks

It depends on how much lift you have.

I don't know about TJs, but with my YJ I did not have to put a BL in when I did the MML.  I ended up putting the BL in later because of tire clearance issues.

I built my belly-up pan at the same time, but did have to drop it from the frame about an inch because of tub clearance issues.  If you solely want to just get rid of the T-case drop and use the stock skidplate, then you should not have to do a BL.

Yep. depends on amount of lift.

As for a MML, you can get an inexpensive 1" spacer set from www.goferitoffroad.com .  I've installed several.
