95 YJ - Hard Top / Full Door Fitment
« on: February 28, 2007, 08:11:53 PM »
Evenin' fellow Jeeper's

I've been looking for a hard top  /  full doors for my 95 YJ -
Recently I saw a set of 1994 doors, and a 1993 Top -
Any problems fitting them to the 95 ?

I did read a column (?here?) from a while ago about doors can be adjusted at the hinge - question tho - from the hinge bolts on the door side - or the hinge bolts on the body side ?

This will get you started.  http://4bangerjp.com/forums/index.php?topic=464.0

The doors will need to be adjusted at the door not the body side of the hinge.  The only downside to adjusting the doors is that it will expose bare metal.  If you live in a rustbelt, then it might be a good idea to paint them.  If not then you can leave them.

Thanks Jeffy

Sorry, no expert here - but I'm not clear - i know that a 1989 and a 1995 wrangler are "YJ's"
but will a 1989 full steel door and a 1989 hard top fit a 1995 wrangler ?  I heard from somewhere that there was a slight body change - but I hear different opinions out there.

Of course - a possibility or likely that the door would have to be adjusted.

Other then the change in latches, there should be no difference.  You'll even see YJ's running around with CJ hard tops and doors occasionally.
