ac not working
« on: July 10, 2007, 01:22:02 PM »
Hello, all  Here's what I have. 97 TJ 4 banger, went to make sure the ac was charged and it is. Line going in gets very cold but not getting cold inside. Someone mentioned that it may be an inline oriface or there is an issue with the interior vents. The ac pump kicks on and is working. Any and all suggestions will be very welcome. Thanx Hozer

check and seee if the line to the switch that switches it to a location is hooked up/ working. i had one blow before on my 90. it was so rusty under the dash when i tried to move it, it broke apart in my hand.

wait does a 97 have the metal lines to swith where the air flows? never worked on anything that new.

Since you mentioned it getting cold but not cool inside, I'd guess the expansion valve/orifice tube valve is fouled.
