My Caddy brake is leaking...HELP!
« on: May 31, 2008, 07:38:27 PM »
Okay....I have been cleaning up grease from the underside of my Jeep since I got it back from JCR.....joints heat up, move, grease drips off...no big deal.

Today I noticed that the inside of my rear driver tire looked like it had grease splattered on it...which was weird as it was never there before.

Had my son press on the brakes and saw break fluid drip out of this spot...right where the e-brake attaches to the brake.

Everything is tight...does anyone know what it could be??  Some sort of gasket in there??

Brake reservoir was really low...so I filled it up...still leaving a tiny puddle everywhere I brake...obviously want to get this fixed ASAP.:(

Yup, the problem is that the caliper is no good if they bought a rebuilt one from some part store it should still have a waranty on it. Find out which supplier they got it from and have it replaced the seal around the arm/bolt for the parkingbrake failed

The installers just used rebuilt parts, not their fault it failed still is a part that is warantyable though. As far as the labor charge to replace it. should probably be covered as well. You paid these folks a pretty penny and they should give some service for that. Should take less than 30 minutes to swap it and bleed it.
