Advise on which Water pump and Radiator to purchase.
« on: April 03, 2009, 04:54:46 PM »
Hi all,
I have a 97 TJ with 95k miles.  The water pump is going out and I want to change it.  I see some online going for like $59, but for $129 I see quadratec has the high flow versions and wanted to get you folks opinions on the high flow pros and cons.

Also,
I need a Radiator.  Mine is okay, but eventually I will have to replace it because when my car gets warm it steams and at least once a month I have to put a gallon of water.  Previously; I changed the freeze plug and it solved the heating problems, but now it appears I will eventually need a Radiator.

My budget is $350 for both Items and I want to be able to use paypal if possible because I sold some personal Items and have the paypal ready to go.

Thank You,
bigchelis

I think I spent around $49 for a water pump from Checkers.  Bought it online, went in to pick it up.  Saved myself $30 from the store price.

For a Radiator, you can get a 3 core for around $200.  Or you can get a aluminum one for about the same off ebay.  Although if I was going to go aluminum, I'd go with a cross flow.
