stock fog light wiring harness question

im lookin for lights to throw between my grill guard. found a set of the stock jeep fog lights they offered on the newer TJs-mine didnt come with em. my question is since these are replacement lights for the orginals and they say they plug right into the stock wiring harness would my jeep have the wiring harness there if it didnt come with the lights? how could i tell? and if not, i should be able to just buy the harness for these lights and plug em in correct? i dont know much about wiring stuff so i appologize if this question seems dumb.

I would think that you'd need a complete harness since you don't have switches either.

hmmm.and i would really just be lookin to wire em into the light switch so to speak-basically id like em to be on when i turn my headlights on-wouldnt be lookin for a seperate switch-unless id be able to get a metal rocket switch toggle lol-would look better in a CJ though not my TJ lol

well that is easy then,  just ground them and take power from the low beam side wire of the headlight,  then when you turn the lights on they will come on with them

Stock lights aren't wired that well.  I would not overload the stock wiring with AUX lights.  I'm not certain if they use relays.  You'd probably be better off witing the lights independantly then having it on its own switch.  If you wanted them tied to the headlights then you could have teh switch connected to the headlight switch +12v then they will be on when your headlightsare on but you can also turn them off as well.

I used the wires from the light switch as an ignition source for my aux lights; that way, if I can only turn on the fog lights if I turn on the parking lights (or the low or high beam, but at the very least, the parking lights) and I can only turn on my daylighters if the high beam is on.  Of course, since I also have the independent switches, I can turn on only the stock lights.  But it is kind of cool to have like this, because I just keep both the fog lights and driving light switches on, and when I turn on my lights, the fog lights come on, and if I turn my brights on, the Daylighters come on as well...  I am happy with this setup.  Oh, and yes, I only use the OEM switch to power the AUX switches; from there, they go to relays...

thank you guys for the responses. i found a pair for 50bucks on amazon but they are halogen h3 55w bulbs. i just want a white light and i think it may look stupid if i have these blue halogens-(if they are blue)-with my stock white ones.tryin to figure out if i could just swap the bulb or if its not gonna look as bad

I swapped out my 100W bulbs from my KC Slimlights fog lightsfor lower wattage ones; the reason is that, typically (some exemptions aplly, of course), the higher the wattage, the lower the bulb life, and I run my fog lights every day as an addition to my regular driving lights.  Now, I should point out that I changed also my stock driving lights with the Delta H4 Xenon conversion kit (these look blue when turned off, but look bright white when on; not blueish at all), so this with together with the Hella Xenon H3 in the Slimlights looks quitenice (same shade of white).
