Chris,
The system that you have described is one that has been discontinued for several years. The tip was welded to the tailpipe along with the hanger to form the tailpipe assembly. I believe that this assembly is what you are asking for. The tip you have seen offered by some of your dealers is the only part that is available. I recommend take the tip to a good muffler shop and have the other portion fabricated using your original as an example.

Subject: Indentical Borla Cat-Back Tip Replacement
Hello,
I have a Borla Cat-Back system that I installed about 5 years ago on a 1994 Jeep Wrangler 5spd, 2.5L. I can't located a Part# on the Borla site for a Cat-Back designed for the 2.5L Jeep. I'd like to believe that the part number/cat-back is the same whether the Jeep is a '94 4.0 or a 2.5L model.
Reason I write is that the exhaust tip on my Borla cat back was recently smashed while I was on an off-road trail. I want to buy a replacement tip. The Borla tips I see sold at online retailers -- Jegs, Quadratec -- are not the same as the Borla tip that came with the cat-back I have. My original tip has an exhaust bracket welded to it and is also a substantially longer design than what I see available at said online retailers. The ones I see on the online retailers have not exhaust bracket welded to them and are a substantially shorter design.
Please advise me as to where to purchase a duplicate version of my Borla Exhaust tip that came with my cat-back originally.
Thanks, Chris Franklin, Los Angeles

Above was the jist of a recent inquiry I made to Borla. Looks like I am going to be getting some exhaust fabrication work done. Going to have to buy a new tip, get a shop to weld a bracket to it, then have some kind of stainless steel tubing welded to it to mimic the length of the original Borla tip I had. I guess. Or maybe I'll just sidestep the whole Borla tip business and just use whatever the muffler shop has sitting around. Wanted to stick with stainless though.
