YJ lift for 32"s

Its getting close to the time where I'll have enough extra cash to get a lift  :dance: I've decided that I'm going to go with 32x11.50 or the 32x10.50 Super Swampers. I've looked around on here and saw that a 2.5" lift should be plenty along with some TJ flares, but i figured I would direct this to those who have 32" tires and see what everyone has to say. Thanks!

32" Super Swampers (bias) are like 33" radials...  You may want to consider that, as the recommended lift for 33" is 4".  Now, with a 2.5" lift and some trimming, you can get away with that lift!

When I ran BFG 32x11.5R15 AT's, I had around 3" starting off.  The tires will rub your stock flares at full stuff.  I was still able to rub the flares with another 1.25" lift.  But really this will depend on the lift and how stiff it is.  If you don't go offroad then 32's will clear with a minimal amount of lift.

I agree for 32 SS's I'd go with 3".  It doesn't matter how you do it. 2.5" suspension, .5" shackles, 1.5-2" TJ flares...  If you don't run trackbars and disconenct the swaybar you'll want to extend the bumpstops as well.

Sounds good, I appreciate the input. I also read in another post that changing out the rubber body mounts with poly mounts could give some extra clearance as well.

tires: 33x12.5x15 BFG M/Ts
i have 2.5'' lift, +1'' shackles and 1'' Body lift. I also have Bushwacker flares and did some fender trimming on both front and rear (otherwise would rub when turning and also when one wheel would be high up). At this time there is no rubbing during regular driving but it would still touch the flares when one tire is pushed all the way up. for 32s i would say you might get away with 2.5'' and 1'' body lift or shackles so you get to about 3.5 in total, but you might also need to do some fender trimming.

i run a 94 with a total of 2.5 of lift (bought it that way)and another thing to consider how good of shape  your springs R in b/c i wouldn't wheel mine oer a curb with the clearence thqt i have granted my springs are showing lots of fatigue and are almost flat under the weight of the jeep just sitting parked .......just something to think about

i was thinking the same way you are. but gt a deal on 4"sua and 305/70bfg mts on rubis on cl. and never looked back. jump in head first. you wont regret it

Go more than 2.5" mine is 3.5" and no body lift and I run 32x 11.50 bfg mudders and out wheeln they rubb in the front fenders about tore the right fender off
