Electric Fan switch
« on: September 25, 2009, 07:00:29 PM »
Im starting to gather parts for an electric fan swap into my YJ and was going over switch options.  Rather than using the standard probe type switch, I was wondering if there is any place on the block/radiator to use a thermostatic switch to run off the temperature of the actual coolant.  If there is not an open space, is there an area where it is easy to accommodate one (like a T fitting, etc)?  Thanks for the help.

What I plan on doing is splicing in a short piece of steel tube into the upper radiator hose.
This will have a bung welded in that is tapped for the therm. switch I use.
