Stalling
« on: October 27, 2009, 02:39:36 PM »
Well i have and auto 4 popper and when i'm in drive it will stall. its only actually stalled once but it acts like it wants to when i come to a complete stop and hold down the brakes. i've been told to check out the CCV, and the O2 sensor. the last time i did sparks and wires, etc was summer 07. i've removed the restrictors and the plate on the air box. any ideas?

what's your idle in Park and in Drive? could be the IAC or the valve cover breather fittings (the one in the valve cover or the one in the intake manifold). I think the autos need a higher idle in park or neutral but i'm not sure what that is, my best guess is 900rpm.

that should be good, check the IAC and valve cover and manifold fittings and also make sure the line between the valve cover and intake manifold is not plugged - can't think of anything else obvious unless it's something more complicated like misfire or fuel problem. Do you have any electrical issues that you know of?

Have you checked the CPS? That can cause stalling. Check this out... http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=986261
