Popping a new 40 inch MTR

This was shot this last weekend. It's a few members of the club I belong to.
This is the 2nd run for the silver/gray TJ after it's major upgrades. Those tires don't have 100 miles on them I would bet.  :baby:

Hope he has a warranty on them.  40's have a huge amount of sidewall even with 17's.

It didn't look like any of them were aired down very much.

I just asked a few minutes ago on our Yahoo groups if he had a replacement on them. I don't think he does.
Another guy put a hole in a 37-14-15 Bias Iroc that has only a couple runs on it. Not sure on the replacement of his either. That place is hard on tires! I saw a 46 inch XL or XML with massive amounts of plugs in 2 places on 1 tire. Happened in the same place the guy with the Iroc got his damage.

Not sure what pressure they were running. They have I would guess 10-12?

I would think they would need to run single digits for the tires to be able to soften up with those huge tires.

sucks about the warranty.  Not a good place to cheap out on.  Also one of the downsides to buying tires online.

They're still radials, and I would think anything below 15psi would feel like it's gonna roll the tire off the rim.  I didn't think tire size made a difference in how stiff the tire was.

it's a really cool trail.

I would love to go to some of those places to try them out. my area isn't rock like that.
