For every inch you cut off the shackles, you will lower the Jeep only 1/2 inch. To compensate for a 3.5 inch spring lift you would need to cut the shackles 7 inches, it's just not possible. Also, the shackles need to be long enough to allow the spring to lengthen when it gets flattened.
you will need also rear leaf springs and like Jeffy said shocks, u-bolts and t-case lowering kit.
Why am I gonna need rear stuff if im only trying to shorten my front shackles?
Heres the item im looking at. http://www.quadratec.com/products/16203_024.htm
Good to know. Thanks. I was looking at the 2.5" springs also Bounty. Just wasnt sure if they would be enough to allow me to chop enough out of these shackles. Why am I gonna need rear stuff if im only trying to shorten my front shackles?
But im only changing the front springs. ?
