The Crewbed?

The crewbed is a fully stowable, permanent mounted, functional truck bed for Jeep Wranglers.
The bed is mounted behind the back seat when not in use, but folds out to deliver a working bed space of
37" X 54" with the back seat in, 37" X 72" with the seat folded up and 37" X 80" with the back seat out. This space is more than enough for appliances, tables, small desks, camping gear, mountain bikes, and even full sized motorcycles. No Jeep on the planet can do what this can do.

The crewbed is made right here in the USA out of durable square steel tubing and powder coated for protection, and comes in many colors.

The crewbed is not intended to carry heavier loads than the manufacturer suggested load limits, it just allows you to carry larger loads than any other Jeep. And with the optional soft top covers, your load is fully protected from the weather.
*** Shipping time is typically 4 weeks from the order time. ***

A little pricey but would be sweet for a hunting rig.

I think they should have triangulated off the rear hitch and made the rods adjustable to handle various bumpers, the mounting in the picture hangs down where I least want it, but I love the idea, it looks like a way to sleep in the jeep, matched with a cargo rack it would make a YJ useful for a more "adventure" rig type uses. (I hate sleeping on the ground/ with bugs....) And would save tent setup time....

If you look at the extension, it's pretty light weight.  The floor is extruded steel.  I don't like the design though.  If it's not out, you have to break it down and then it takes up a lot of room.  I would rather see something quick and easy to install as well.  Perhaps have the whole thing on rails and can be pulled out in one go?  The other problem I see is with the extruded steel.  If you're going to tent inside then you'll need to seal off the bottom.  Unless you like the wind.  They have pictures of two dirt bikes in the back.  I'm not sure I like the idea of having that much weight that far back and that high up.

Does it support the tailgate somehow?  I don't think running around with the tailgate open with the weight of the tire would be good for the hinges and mounting points.

My guess is that there is a latch it catches onto.

I found a better picture of the crewbed.  Still don't like it though.
