« on: March 07, 2011, 07:21:36 PM »
I'm planning on doing some bolt-ons ofn my '00 TJ (Auto).. I'm looking for you guys to look over my list to see if my ideas are correct.

Some of the parts below I already have sitting around the garage.

- 4.0L Throttle Body
- 24lb Ford (Fox Mustang) Injectors
- Cold Air Intake
- MSD 6AL Box
- E3 Spark Plugs
- Taylor 10.4mm Wires
- Banks Monster Catback (2.5" Stainless)
- MSD Coil
- Electric Fan (Radiator)
- High Flow Cat
- Royal Purple Oil

What do you think.. I feel like I'm missing something.

injectors will flow 25.5 at 49psi (the pressure your Jeep is running at), that would be about 10% more than stock, that would put you in the low 12s for afr, not sure if you want to go that low - just a heads-up.

E3 Plugs are not going to make an improvement, if anything they will cause you more grief than they're worth...
Go with Champion Platinums (3034)
They will last longer, and have the same heat range as OE.

i meant that would be a little too much fuel (i referred to afr when i said low). 32lb/hr would be out of the question, so if you really want to do it 24 is a better choice.

stock injectors flow 23.2 at 49 psi.

32# injectors will flow 34 lb/hr at 49 psi, so that's 46% increase, waaay too much fuel.

Skip the MSD stuff and get the Firepower kit from Performance Distributors.
No matter where you're going, there you are.

Check the vendors section for a 62-64mm TB instead of the 4.0.
The PD kit comes with great wires. I'd do that over the MSD stuff.

Thanks for the info guy.. I already have the 24lb Ford Injectors, MSD 6AL Box, E3 Spark Plugs, Taylor 10.4mm Wires, Banks Monster Catback (2.5" Stainless), Electric Fan & Royal Purple Oil sitting in the garage. I'll have to use it for now to keep costs down.
