1982 Mexican Army Jeep
« on: January 24, 2012, 10:48:19 AM »
Here are some pics of a 1982 Jeep made for the Mexican Army.  It looks like a mix of M715, CJ5, and the old Willys trucks.

It really is cobbled together.  The split window is kinda cool.  Makes it easier to replace the glass if one breaks.  Looks like the seats were updated as well as the steering wheel.  Not sure why you'd want something like this rather then a normal M715 though.  Licensing issues?

Not sure. The first time I saw one, I thought it was someone's project cobbled together.  It was years later that I learned they were actually factory built that way for the army.
