Topic: what motor mounts should I go with?

Ok, Just trying to get all the info I need to start buying parts, I have a 4 inch suspension lift, 2 inch body lift. Right now Have a transfer case drop. going to replace that with a SYE. My motor mounts need some attention. I'm not sure if I should lift the motor to compensate for the lift or not. I was looking at Brown Dog mounts, but would like to get some input before ordering anything. Thanks

you can go with a mm lift to get better angle at the rear output and get rid of your t-case drop (you have plenty of room with your b/l), but if you get an SYE you won't need it. on the other hand if you plan to go with a flat belly (again by having room due to b/l) you will need a mm lift so if you plan to go for that later might as well do it now.

If you're going to wheel it, set it up so you delete the t-case drop. I run JKS motor mount lift and an SYE. I have adjustable control arms and am going to run a "flat" belly skid. If the adjustable arms aren't in your budget now, at least run the SYE and MML so you can place the t-case back at its original height.

I run stock motor mounts on JKS 1" Budget lifts and just installed a SYE.  If you don't mind having everything rattle at idle then you could go with some poly bushings in the mounts.  I've had the 1" Currie/JKS as well as the TD Performance 1" lift.  Got rid of them.  On the plus side, you'll lose slop from the driveline twist when when you let off the clutch.  So instead of twisting up the driveline you just go.  You'll chirp the tires a little till you get used to it.

Also, you don't necessary need to use a CV joint with a SYE.  If you don't have acute angles you can run a standard U-joint driveshaft.
