Tent on wheels
« on: March 23, 2006, 09:20:26 PM »
I'm picking up this 72 Compact Jr. on Saturday. My 16' Scamp is over 2100#s and that's a bit much for the 2.5/auto/4.88/34's.

The Compact Jr. is suppose to be very light in weight, under 1000#s. I was looking for another Scamp, but a 13' variety, or another model of a 13' which would sleep 4 (bunks up front, table/bed in back). But alas found this on the craigslist no less. $600!!!

In comparison, my camper album has pics of my Scamp when I picked that up for $700 in 12/02.
Compact Jr. is setup like a walk-in tear drop. Back side door entrance, sink/cooktop on left, closet/icebox on right, table/kingsize bed up front. Center of the top pops up for walking, or I could just leave it down. I plan to add a bunk cross-wise for my daughter to sleep.
Yeh to me!!!

Wow, spent too much money on the real house I see.  Gives you a place to stay when you're in the dog house though.
