   I joined this forum many years ago after I bought a good and used '89 Wrangler with a 4-banger.  It already had been lifted and had a fearsome set of 33" Mudders on it. Yeah, it still had the crappy D-35 that ain't worth a shit- oh wait ,it still does- with a generic lunchbox locker and Yukon axle shafts.  I've babied it thru the last eight years with trips to Moab, laying out new trails for our local club, some serious muddy trails, etc.  I purchased this rolling wreck to relearn to drive on trails and brush up my mechanical skills, then was going to buy a better one that I could profile in as well as take over the hills and thru the woods with some rocks thrown in.  One of my "buddies said "That's only half a motor!", so it became Ol' Halfmotor, and Ol' Halfmotor brought me a lot of pain and pleasure.  I really loved that Jeep when we would show up the A$$h013 with the 38" tires and the 505" V-8 by walking right up/thru/over the obstacle that they heroically defeated with lots of loud noises, and spinning of earthmoving tires.
It is time for me to move on- I missed a couple of events because I just can't handle the heat like I used to (I'm almost 71).  I'm building an '06 TJ Limited with air and it has a 4.0.  I guess it boils down to this:  The 4 Banger Jeep Forum has been a BIG help in providing needed information to work on/build Ol' Halfmotor; for this I want to thank you all for providing a forum populated with Jeepers that are willing and able to give some really helpful advice and information.  I have been able to reference most of what I needed by doing a search.  I hope I have been able to contribute helpful info  on occasion.  I'll still check in- you Central American guys do some neat stuff!   So, A BIG THANK YOU to all of you.  May you all have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

The site welcomes everyone.  It's not limited to 2.5L's at all.  There are a few 4.0's here.

As stated, almost everything is the same for the 4.0L as it is for the 2.5L (except for the cylinder count), so feel free to keep on coming by...  And thanks for the kudos to us in Central America!
