What year did they do away with the PCV valve and got to the system like my 94.  Know that the valve cover really needed cleaned out on mine.

1991 when they went to MPFI and the CCV instead of the EGR.

I'm not to sure. I know I have a crank case vent (a brass fitting on the front of the valve cover, drivers side) and a breather (back of the valve cover, top) I replaced the breather on the top with a new one. that's the one that has the hose to the air filter, and as for the CCV, I cleaned that out not to long ago too. It was pretty dirty.
