New speedometer gear.... not reading speed
« on: April 24, 2006, 03:33:01 PM »
OK folks, I just bought a new speedometer gear for my Jeep, took off the old one, put on the new, plugged her back in, hooked up the sensor, went for a test drive, and apparently I was goin 0 mph when I was goin about 55.  Any ideas what might be the problem here?  I'd like some help ASAP so I can fix it before the time I WOULD LIKE to go to bed tonight.  Thanks.

Rotate the speedo gear...  It has three different notches...  Rotate it around so the mounting tabs match the speedo #.

I forgot to meantion, my Jeep is a 2003 TJ SE.  I took it back out, and I don't see the 3 different notches.  It's an electronic speed sensor unit, I don't really see why it's not workin.
