Wow!!  That's quite an aggresive trail!!  That's what I call 'hardcore wheelin'.  Alright, alright...  I'm only kidding...  

The more I see this rig, and read about it, it's not so bad.  They've reinforced alot of stuff and luckily it's still a straight axle.  

One thing that I've noticed... Especially in the seat that I'm in...  The rush, need, want and overall excitement for the FJ Cruiser has blown the aftermarket industry apart.  There was so much excitement and anticipation about that vehicle that the backorders for parts and the vehicle is going back months...

I haven't heard any great rush for this Jeep.  Not the excitement that happened many months before the Rubicon model TJ came out.  It's weird...  I wonder how well it'll do once they hit the streets.

I can't wait to see the one we get.

I don't particularly care for the JK.  I like the idea of a V6 over an I6, but other than that, it doesn't appeal to me at all.  But why make a video of only trail drivin? lol.  It's a Jeep, take that thing over some of those hills out there, it'll be OK, the four bangers can do it!  :D

I'm not so sure.  I've yet to see it pushed.  Never seem picts of it without the front fenders either.  It's wider and longer.  I'm not sure if you can use standard D44 gears.  Even the Rubicon is limited on what gear it can take since they aren't standard 44 gears.  (The Lockers are set up to take thick gears only.)  I've yet to see one without the doors on it either.  The rockers look like they'd get crunched up pretty good on a trail.  I'm not sure if the V6 was a good option.  As a replacemnt ofr the 2.4L, ok but with the Jeep being much heaver then the old one and now you've dropped the low end torque of  the I6, it's got to hurt it some.  I still can't imagine driving a 4Dr with the same engine.  They really should put the CRD in it like they do with the Exported version.  That would make up for the extra weight.  It's also said that they might put the Hemi in the 4Dr.

Gone are the day's of the small Jeep. :cry:

Did you see the pics on PSC's site?  I found these a couple of weeks ago (I know, I should have posted them sooner).  They were given them to tear up on the trails, and consistant with Poison Spyder way of doing things (Heritage in Hardcore), tear it up they did...

That's both the JK and the new 4-door unlimited...






Think the aftermarket will be prepared for these new Jeeps?

Nope haven't seen those.  From what I'm guessing, they weren't given these Jeeps but were allowed to use/abuse them to develope products for them. Manufacture plates ususally means they are not for sale to anyone and instead of storing them in a warehouse they usually crush them.

Looking at the underside, it didn't fair too well.

here we'll get the 2.4, the 3.7 v6 and the 2.8 crd. The best engine, to my likes, will be the 2.8 diesel  its got plenty of torque and its a good compromise performance/gas mileage, have you ever tried it on the KJ? It's an hell of an engine!!
 The 3 doors looks good i cant wait to see one lifted with 35s but the 5 doors looks way to hummery

The JK for Export will have the 3.8L and the 2.8L CRD from the get go. In the US we won't get the 2.8L even though it's used on the KJ already.  The Jeep is too heavy/big to use the 2.4L.  To give you an idea a stock 2.5/4L TJ weighs in slightly over 3100lbs.  The lightest JK will come in at 3760lbs/  The heaviest 4dr will be 4340lbs with the 3.8L.  I'm not sure on the CRD.

considering the prices of petrol, insurance and the fact that soon they'll introduce a new 4x4 tax the crd will be the best option and for sure the best selling this end of the world

I know ARB will be!!  Depending on the axles (I think they're the same 44's in the TJ's, they'll have lockers, front bumper is in the works, and I'm sure a suspension too.  It's on the same platform as the TJ, so I'm sure it;s a question of 'tuning' the TJ springs.  Just like they did for the Unlimited.

Does ARB actually make lifts?  I thought the lifts were made by Old Man Emu.  Man A Fre is also a Sister-company also, isn't it?

The D44's are different then the TJ's.  Rememebr the whole thing is wider.  DC's wants to call it a D45 or something weird I think.  Currently the Rubicon  diffs are made so they have no carrier break/split.  So you'd use one carrier for all gear sets.  This becomes a problem when running the lower gears where there would be a carrier split.  Basically, numerically lower gears are thicker.  So the flange is set to allow for this.  Then when you move up, the gears get thinner at a certain point, the split.  The problem is the Rubicon requires thick gears.  So dana had to build a gear set for it.  The lowest gear set for the Rubicon is 5.13 made by Alloy USA, I think.
