New to the forum and love it, lots of info. I enjoy the topics. With that said I do have a question. I have a 2000 Tj soft-top with the 4 banger and 33 MTA, My back window zipper does not work right. When I zip it up I hava to pull it towards the outside of the jeep to get it to zip. Most of the time the teeth do not close behind the latch. It will close then have gaps behind it. Has any one had this problem? If so what do I need to do, will a new back window do? One more question. When it rains hard I have a puddle of water on both front floor boards. Where could it be leaking from? Thanks for any help.

You might try pinching the zipper.  Basically the zipper has a Y path for the two strips.  Where they come together, gets bent  slightly.  Pinching the top half with the bottom will help a bit.  You'll want to pull the zipper up and down and try not to pull it outwards.

You could also go to a upholstery shop and have them install a new zipper.

Leaks?  Need more info on your Jeep.  Model/year...

Early TJ's were known to leak from the vents.  The hood vent has a drain tube if this gets obstructed it will back up and leak into the Jeep.  I'd check that first.

I keep my zippers coated with a film of bar soap. It keeps em working smoothly.

I use white lithium for zipper so far, so good. wax sucks. you gotta replace it or do the replace zipper thang. Go tinted though if you're replacing it. I think it was $250.00 for the three tinted rear windows. I got mine at 4 west.
