SYE KIT

Hey i was wondering what you guys thought of this SYE kit b4 i get it, ive neve heard of OMIX-ADA so im not %100 if i want it, but the price seems reasonable

Hey man I got one on my 95 and it comes in very handy when you break a rear drive shaft, and don't have a spare.  Better on pinion angles too.  Only thing you will have to take your drive shaft in and get a cv put on.

Not a bad price but I'd consider this.  How much drivetrain length do you want to get rid of?  If you want to double up your transfer case with a Klune or what not, you'll want as much room as possible.  Well, unless you want to move the engine foreward.

For most people a Hack & Tap would be fine.  They're easy to install and are pretty cheap.  I know guy's running these and have had no problems.  If you want to run really low gears, you'll want a HD setup like the one you posted.  If you want the shortest kit, it will be Tera or JB Conversions.  They give you 2-2.5" extra over the 4-6.5" the standard kit gives you.

That one looks pretty good.  Looking at it, I'd compare the price to the Advanced Adaptors kit.  That one is similar, where it replaces the output shaft with a heavier duty one.

JB Conversions is the best one if seen.  With that newer electronic speedo control.  That one would allow for the longest driveline.  

I've never been a fan of the one's the you have to cut your own output shaft.  Too cheap.  Plus, if you've worked your T/C preety hard, that stock output shaft could be bent.

Omix Ada is out of Georgia.  They distribute stuff, they don't manufacture.  So I'd try to figure out what manufacturer that one really is.

I believe it is a JB but it is a no name....it is not marked anywhere on it. In Omix Ada's documentation it actually says JB. We have installed a few of them and are very happy with them. If you just need a SYE and not a Super Short it is what we order.....

Here's a much better Deal for 174.99 with free shipping.  I've installed several of these kits with no problems.

For a '95 or older Jeep this is the route to go as it's cheaper than the H&T and is a few inches shorter.  The '97+ jeeps can get by with a H&T since it's only $80.

I would have installed this PORC kit on my Jeep instead of the H&T had it been available back then.  I went with the H&T using a TJ mainshaft and tailhousing in my YJ.  Then a shortened XJ front driveshaft with This CV flange.

never heard of "PORC." are they a reputable company?

PORC is pretty well known. Offroadoverstock is the new guy. I own Offroad Overstock. I cant bad mouth PORC. To be honest I have never heard any thing bad about them.

SYE's are made by a handfull of companies.  They buy their parts from the company and sell them as their own.  There are come quality differences but for the most part they are the same.
