I have decided to get an SYE kit and have a few Q's.  Do I need a 1" motor mount lift to help with the drive line angle since I will be removing the transfer case drop, is there any kit that is better than the other (none of those hack and tap kits) and is there anything else recommended besides the kit and a new DS (I have heard adjustable upper control arms).

The SYE should allow you to eliminate the TC drop and avoid the MML.  The rear pinion will need to be tilted up compared to the stock position.

There are only two reason to use a MML.  One is to bring the engine up so it point the transfer case down.  This helps with driveline angles.  The other reason is to tuck up the transfer case to run a flat skid.

If you weren't going to get a SYE then you might have tried the MML and cam'd bolts or adj. control arms, depending on how much lift you're dealing with.

With a SYE you will need to rotate the rear pinion up a few degrees IF you get a CV driveshaft.  (Keep in mind that you won't always need a CV unless your driveline angles are really bad.  many shops just sell CV's since that's what everyone wants.)  Cam bolts or adjustable control arms would do this.  Although cam'd bolts would be cheaper.

Yeah I won't be using a CV DS.  I have never heard of a cam'd bolt?

TJ's as well as other coiled Jeeps come with them stock. Below is the stock setup.  You can get aftermarket cam bolts that allow a bit more adjustability, I believe.  The cam bolt allows for the pinion angle to be adjusted without having to buy new arms.  Care needs to be taken in that both sides are set to the same position.
