Deer hauling front bumper
« on: December 02, 2007, 08:08:23 PM »
I was watching a Drury Outdoors and one of the guys had a front bumper on his TJ that he could hall a deer on. The deer was placed on top the bumper and between the grill and the hoop (bumper was extend forward about 3 feet or so). If it was custom some one did a really good job because it looked like the quality of a mass produced bumper. If any one knows where I can get one please let me know. If I cant find one I will have to make one because I tired of taking my truck deer hunting because I have no way to hall one with the Jeep.

Seems like an easy way to do this would be a front bumper with a reciever hitch.  Then you could put one of those cargo racks on, or build something custom.  Then the whole thing could be removed for the 49 weeks a year that you are not deer hunting ;)

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be driving around with an kitchen table mounted in front of the grill.  A better idea would be a flip down grill support like what the HMMWV's have.  Or else get a rear receiver hitch and a hitch rack.
