so 2 of my body mounts rotted away so i ordered a body lift, got it installed today.  pretty simple took like an hour nd half only snapped one bolt.  but wed driving home from work i needed to drive home in 4wd.  my rear carrier bearings got so bad my locker would just keep on unlocking itself nd click and clanking.  so today i ripper the carrier out and am gonna replace the ebaring on it morow at work and hopefully get the jeep back on the road for thursday.  also i have a huge water leak they normally leak from the windsheild gasket correct?  anywhere else to look .?

You had bad body mounts so you bought a body lift?  How tall did you go?  If you're mounts are bad, it's generally not a good idea to get a body lift.

Well, hope it's just a bad bearing and not a spin bearing as well.  If the bearing spun, you can pretty much say goodbye to the axle.  The bearing usually hones the slot out of spec and it's usually not worth it to fix.

Jeeps leak from many places.  Cowl vent drain backing up, windshield cowl seal, the cowl seam, etc...

the body mount bushing, sry i shldve been more specific,  the mount them selves are fine i got the daystar kit one inch only, but it replaced the mount bushings completly nd it added a bit more lift, so now when i go 33's it wont rub.   im pretty sure its just bad bearings, the fluid was clean no metal fillings or anything, so i think im safe.  and the cowl vent tube is clean, but my most recent head unit just got soaked, thank god walmart is stupid or i'd be quite pissed off.

Sounds like you got it covered.  Do you have the dana 35 rear?  With axle swaps being so easy on leaf sprung rigs it sounds like the perfect time to go for an 8.8....If you have the dana 35 that is.  The daystar  kit looks pretty good.

i dont plan on going bigger than 33's so imma pass on the 8.8 now dont really have th money for driveshaft nd stuff, so im gonna rebuild the 35.  anyway once i do go bigger there will be better changes than just the axles.
