Anybody know anything about these?

They save about 70 lbs. of (unsprung? sprung?) weight.

I'm sure that they are beaucoup bucks, but I saw on another website that JEEP is an ancronym for:

I dont know...  I mean, mine is a daily driver, so I prefer to go with the proven steel springs.  They may be great, but I rather someone else tests them for a few years first!

They have been out for almost 2 years.  To date, I've only heard of 1 set being installed locally.  BVOR put a set on one of their jeeps, no idea if it was ever offroaded.

The main issue with fiberglass leafs is over the long term.  Fiberglass is stronger when steel when flexed.  I believe teh cycyle life is a LOT higher then with steel.  The problem comes when you go offroad though.  Fiberglass is weaker then steel when dealing with direct impacts. So if you wheeling, this becomes an issue.

I read an article once where they described how in the old days, jeepers would wrap their leaf springs with a sheetmetal sheath packed with grease.  It was done to get more flex.  Maybe the fiberglass leaves could be "skid plated" in a similar way.
