You know, I would have to say my BFG's have been a great tire to me.  I've pretty much smashed the sidewalls up against rocks down at the badlands and they take it all.  I'll have to price the KM2s, since all I have really done is got up close and looked at them...

Chaching!  If you think MTR's are expensive forget about KM2's.  If you're doing a lot of street driving BFG AT KO's aren't bad.

No way in heck am I putting BFG ATs on my Jeep, worst tire ever in the mud...There good in sand and snow and like you said a good street tire.  My next set of tires will either be some type of BFG mud terrain or super swampers.

i would stick with some aggressive 31s and a 2 inch lift or at most 32s if this is gonna be ur daily driver. super swampers as mentioned by others here will surely be a waste of money if ur using this jeep as a DD and esp if your daily drive requires highway use. Plus they'll kill ur mpg. of course it is your rig and you should do whatever the hell makes ya happy-but if ur lookin for an opinion i would lift a few inches first and stick with the 31s or at most get a set of 32s

To start with what Swampers are you looking at?  The trux's line are some good tires, for street use and wheeling, from what I've seen and run I would run them before BFG's on rig that see's allot of highway use.  Now if your looking at Boogers, LTB's, SX's, or Bias TSL's, then you will be giving up allot of street use for off highway performance, and I would pass if your Jeep see's mostly highway miles, unless like others have said you have 2 sets of tires and swap them out.

As for running 33's w/ 4.10's it's not that big of a deal, it will remind you that your Jeep is a off road vehicle and not a sports car, but I ran 2 years with 34" LTBs with 4.10's and as long as I remembered to keep the pace down a little, and shift down more often it wasn't bad and my milage didn't suffer too bad.  I also have a buddy who used to run 33" MT's on his 4 banger w/ 4.10's and he actually got better milage then stock as long as he remembered to drive it appropriately, and not try to drive like an ass.  I know my Jeep would have done better but my motor was a little past the beat and tired stage of things and only had about half the ower it did stock so I had to be a little more aggresive with my driving to keep it moving.

Also don't be affraid of the d35 with 33's, my buddy has a TJ that he beats on off-road, thats running a lunch box locker on 33's w/ a 4.0l and in 5 years has only ever broke one set of stock shafts, and that happend while trying to drag another Jeep up a hill out of creek missing the front wheel from broken ball joints in a foot of snow.  (boy does that sound like a BS story)

But of course like with anything else with Jeeps, for every opinion there is 3 more and this is all just my opinion so take it for what it's worth.

I'm running 35's with 4.10 gearing and its not to bad on the street for what little street driving I do, I think I top out at about 60-65, When I was living at Ball State and driving to the northside of Indy everyday for work I had the 33's and 4.10's and I think i got about 11-12 mpg on the highway.  I use to have the Swamper SSR's in a 33 also and I only got about 15,000 miles out of them but they were a good offroad tire.  I would do like some of the other guys are saying and get the 33's and use them as wheeling tires and keep the 31's for the street
