2.4L Exhaust Manifold
« on: January 06, 2009, 12:57:16 PM »
I've got a 05tj 2.4L and my manifold is cracked. Like three or four between cyl 2, 3, 4. its pretty sweet. There is a rice burner shop down here that i talked to, and they said they found a header and it was like 280 from rugged ridge. But i went up tp order it and i was getting one for mine and my brothers jeep. The price went to $800 some how. and then they could not find the part number again. So i said forget that, does anyone know of an aftermarket one or do i have to go to the dealership.

Rugged Ridge is just a marketing brand like Steel Horse and now Smittybilt.  Very few of their items are made by them.

I don't think you'll find much of anything for headers for the '03-'06 2.4L though.

I've noticed that with my 2.4L it is hard to find ANYTHING aftermarket at all.   However, if I search for 2.4L Liberty....I can get some information.     Mostly though, you have to search for PT Crapper or SRT-4 stuff.    It really sucks.   The little 2.4 can go once up to speed but it has nothing for balls down low.     I think they should have put the d35 with the 4.56gears in the stick 2.4 instead of the auto.
