Oil pressure
« on: April 07, 2009, 08:47:35 AM »
So I changed the oil perhps two weeks ago. The oil pressure was fine till about three days ago. Checked my oil level and it was a little shy of "safe", so I put perhaps 1/2 quart (not even) of oil. At start up it will run around 45-50 psi. When it warms up real nice in good it will run around 35-40 above idle. So my question is that normal/fine/ok?

Mine runs around 40-ish when idling and 80-ish when at speed.  It should run a little high at idle when cold.

Yeah, its going to need to be rebuilt, or have something else swapped in one of these days, but its just a trail toy, so it only gets driven about once or twice a month
