Is there a way to tighten the mirrors?
« on: June 23, 2009, 09:09:25 AM »
My passaner side mirror keeps moving every time you close the door, and now, since I installed the new motor mounts (a lot more vibration is transfered to the Jeep) the mirror will mov on its own when driving down the highway.  I replaced the mirrors about 3 years ago, so theyare in good condition, but I was wondering if there is any way to tighten he top part so that they will not move when the doors are closed (or with the vibration of the Jeep).  Any ideas (other than buying new mirrors)?

If you look under the mirror where the corgated  plastic sleeve is, there is a screw there.  You can try tightening that.
