Superchargers and turbo's
« on: January 03, 2006, 02:44:37 PM »
Has anyone run them, what kind of results? Who made it what kind of hp is claimed etc.

Also does anyone have the breakdown of all the components and the functionality?

Also I understand that the 2.5 is very closely related to mopars 2.2 that went into their performance cars. Has anyone tried to convert the turbo's from one of them to a 2.5?

And this may be a stupid question but what is the difference between a belt driven blower and a supercharger.

Hot rod nuts have made their own "blowers" all the way back to the 70's. Could this be done for a jeep, and is it all that different than a supercharger? I'd assume if you made your own belt driven blower you probably have to go to a slightly larger injector to keep up with the fuel consumption in the higher rpm's but it might be worth it.

Any thoughts?
