Turn Signal indicators.
« on: December 03, 2009, 11:04:22 AM »
Does anybody know of a replacement bulb for the turn signal indicators in the dash....that are much brighter than the stock ones. I can barely see mine when they are flashing.... and often leave them on unecessarily for long periods of time. LED's perhaps....???

i usually don't look down at the blinker half because i am used to having to unclick the blinker on my s10.. i think they are abit dimmer than most but bright enough to notice.. you could probably brew up your own LED but you could probably need a resistor in there to keep the current low enough so you don't fry the LED. but space may be a bit of an issue unless you can modify the bulb carrier.. which i have yet to find a way to actually disconnect the wires so you can get it out of the jeep. granted mine is a 990 so its tbi and generally different in the electronics department.

I don't really look at my turn signals.  I can usually hear that relay ticking.

Thanks for reminding me about that website....so easy to pull out the dash now that I've done it a couple of times.  Planning on picking up some white led's and throwing them back there.

Once again...the forum pulls through. YEAH! I have sent an e-mail to the website http://www.superbrightleds.com, that DWTAYLORPDX mentioned. Hopefully they will have brighter lights than the stock ones. MANY THANKS! Will keep you all posted on the outcome.
