Okay, now before you scold me on not looking at the previous posts, I want you to know that I DID do a search, and didn't find anything.

Has anyone had any luck with the advertised electric superchargers?

Specifically, I saw one from e-RAM (http://www.electricsupercharger.com) and one from Thomas Knight (http://www.boosthead.com).

Has anyone had any luck with these?

I have a feeling that the ebay specials that I've seen are nothing more than marine blowers and probably won't produce any real psi increase.  But these two might do something - but before I started experimenting with these, I wanted to know what you guys thought.

You're right, they're marine blowers.  They do not prduce enough pressure to be called a compressor/supercharger.

There was one electric superchrger that did work.  Although this was a special unit.  It used three starter motors and an Eaton supercharger.  It was only usable for short bursts since the motors aren't designed to spin for long.  So really it was more like an expensive nitrous kit.
