Saggy Rear End
« on: March 16, 2010, 06:23:10 PM »
Been running my 95 jeep with 4 inch suspension and 1 inch shackle lift on 33's for about 4 years. Ive been noticing the back end saggying alot lately and need some advice on how to fix it. Should i go with a new set of leafs, add a leaf, new shocks? what will help?

New RE 4" Extreme Duty Leaf springs.  Don't get the standard RE 4" lift springs, they are not the same.

Well, in 4 yrs, its obvious, you are gaining weight..... ::)

If you add an add-a-leaf make sure its a full length version and not a thick shorty. You could also look at putting together a bastard set of leafs from Mazda and S10 leafs intermixed with the stock XJs. Check with NXJA for the specifics.

Since you already have a 4" lift, I would suggest ordering some custom leafs.  Otherwise go cheap and add a full-length AAL.
