Swapping lift

Hey jeepers. I have yet another question.

I'm getting sent back to the gulf on a boat to do more wrenching and clean up which means more $$$ for the jeep.  I am looking at switching out the lift on my jeep as it is as sheisty as they come. I bought it this way so now is my chance to switch it out. It has about a 5 inch shackle lift whick looks ridiculous and a bit unsafe for offorad of you ask me, it also has a 3" body lift which I want to scrap as well. I'm currently running 33's and it still has clearance.

I'm looking at 4.5" lift Deaver springs front and rear and the Currie greasable shackles with maybe a 1" body lift.

My question is will I still be able to run the 33's without any problems? any help would be tremendous. I've been doing the math and it seems that it would work but I would just like some opinions from those with more experience than me..... which is just about everybody here. haha!  Thanks in advance.

One more thing... I was also looking at the Rugged Ridge 1" lift shackles due to flex of the shackle when offroad. This might be a better way to go??

I think you'll be good with the 4.5" Deavers and the Currie 5/8" shackles.  I don't think you'll need a 1" body lift unless you want to run 35's.  For 33's you should be fine.  Maybe go with TJ flares to gain 1.5"-2" of fender clearance.

Done and done! Thanks man. When I get back next month that set up is going right in.... I mean RIGHT IN!  I'm not going to do the body lift though as I dont have plans on running 35's quite yet. As soon as I move onto swapping axles I'll get some 35's. I didnt know the TJ flares would work on a YJ. I like it though. I'm going to look into those too. Thanks again.
