4.0 Throttle body on 2.5l Dyno report
« on: March 02, 2010, 03:21:56 PM »
This is a dyno test of the 4.0 l throttle body on the 2.5L. I found it on Quebec4x4.com a french bord

Small line are with the stock T.B and the big line are whit the 4.0L T.B

With a 4.0 l you gain 7.5 HP at engine and 5.3 Lbs of torq! What a great deal. Without the Spacer.

Soon I'll post the dyno report for a 62MM T.B (Modded 4.0L ) with a Spacer.

Very nice.  What kind of Dyno was it and what was the ambient air temperature?  What are the Jeeps specs?

I see the extra hp/tq comes on right at the rpm where I'll never use it   It's still a good mod though, especially for the money

Maybe you should be running between 3600 and 4600 more often, the 2.5L prefers it.

so when you mount a 4.0 tb on a 2.5 all you do is bolt in in place and transfer all the sensor/cable equipment from the orgional 2.5 tb over right?

Yep and clear the computer's memory (Disconnect Negative Battery Cable and drain system, can flick on the head lights and key to on and off should do it, then reconnect the battery.)  There's some more info. here http://4bangerjp.com/forums/index.php/topic,6008.0.html http://www.4x4wire.com/jeep/tech/engine/throttlebody01/ ... etc
