magnaflow/4wp ss cat p/n 23297

Had a very pleasant experience with these folks during the past couple of weeks...

Bought this cat last year along with a complete ss magnaflow xhaust sytem and, after nearly completing a frame-off, am readly to install all of it.

That is...until I noticed the cat had no bung for the downstream O2 sensor. Called Magnaflow, told them what I had, they said to take it back to 4Wheel Parts for replacement.

New one comes in - no bung.

So, I talked with a young man by the name of "Derek" at Magnaflow who checked with his manager about the issue, they pulled the drawings and, sure enough, the drawing for p/n 29237 shows a bung.  All of 4Wheel Part's stock, however, came w/o the bung installed.

Magnaflow told 4WP to ship the converter directly back to them and Magnaflow then shipped a correct cat directly from their own stock.

Might want to be aware if you order the SS Direct Fit Cat from 4Wheel Parts.

Manga Flow is very quick to fix any issues like that as the wrong cat could be fined and the mfg. and installer at fault.

I really like the value of the Carsound by Magnaflow though.  Although I do hate the CA versions as they are $100 more.  It's a good compact cat.

It's nice they corrected the problem for you but I would have got a bung and drilled the hole and welded it on.

was it stainless?

Stainless - I purchased a "direct fit" so therefore, let them handle the bung. They did.

stainless is a bit more of a pain to weld one on.

Yup.

Comical thing is...

Shipping didn't put a bit of cushioning in the box so, by the time it arrived at the house, the warranty card looked like Phideaux had gotten hold of it.

Will call Derek this a.m. and ask for a good one.   ::)
